What can I say! I am sitting back at home in Christchurch now and reflecting on what has been the most amazing few days. Two weeks ago I was not sure if I was even going to make it to worlds due to NZ not qualifying a spot in either the Omnium or Scratch Race! Finally the entries were confirmed only after other countries chose not to field riders. I was down at Denton Park (400m concrete track) with my coach Ross smacking out effort after effort with just birds and a tractor mowing the grass in the middle of the track for competition!
